Thursday features a lack luster four game slate and the injury news doesn’t make it any more appealing. I guess the good thing is that we can’t get Pop’ed tonight right?
Nothing crazy for high game totals tonight and two games have spreads of ten points. The Lakers and Warriors matchup is the highest at 222 with Los Angeles favored by 10 points.
Top of the Key
Anthony Davis ($10,300 DK / $10,800 FD) at Golden State Warriors
With LeBron James missing tonight’s game, Davis could possibly be the highest owned player on this slate but for good reason.
Davis has been on a roll as of late, averaging 27.8 points, 12 rebounds and 3.4 assists over his past five game. He has also been adding 4.6 steals/blocks in those game, which really boosts up the fantasy point scoring.
Those number are WITH James in. Davis gains 12.9 fantasy points per 48 minutes and his usage rate increase 5.51% with James off the court.
Having four straight games of 58 fantasy points or more, there is no reason why Davis cannot make it a fifth straight tonight.
Tobias Harris ($7,500 DK / $7,000 FD) vs. New York Knicks
Harris has not been lighting the world on fire as of late, but with the injuries to Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid he is set up to carry a bulk of the load tonight against New York.
With Simmons and Embiid off the court, Harris increases his usage by 2.71 percent and increases his fantasy point scoring by 9.92 per 48 minutes. He draws a decent matchup with New York also as they are allowing 33.2 fantasy points per game to the power forward position.
For what normally would be a much larger game spread, with the 76ers injuries it is expected to stay a little closer as Philadelphia is favored by 6.5.
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Kyle Kuzma ($3,900 DK / $4,100 FD) and Rajon Rondo ($3,500 DK / $4,000 FD) at Golden State Warriors – Just a ton of usage to go around with James sidelined tonight. Either of these guys have to do much to get there at their prices.
Shake Milton ($4,700 DK / $4,300 FD) vs. New York Knicks – Philadelphia has a ton of value tonight with Simmons and Embiid out. I like Milton’s upside as his play has really picked up since the All-Star break.
