Hope everyone took advantage of the article yesterday. If you plugged in the five players mentioned, you were well on your way to cashing with 200+ points between them.

Ok, we can get off our high horse now and look at this exciting nine game slate. We already have some players ruled out (Kelly Oubre Jr., LaMarcus Aldridge, Jaren Jackson Jr., Ben Simmons, Kemba Walker and Karl-Anthony Towns) so we potentially have some great spots for some mispriced players.

Houston will host a banged up Memphis team with the highest total on the slate at 237.5 while Brooklyn and Washington come in a second best at 234.

Top of the Key

DeMar DeRozan ($7,000 DK / $6,900 FD) vs. Dallas Mavericks

Both sites totally dropped the ball on pricing here today. In my opinion, you could have thrown about $2,000 more on DeRozan with Aldridge out and I still would have liked him today.

With Aldridge off the court, DeRozan turns into a monster. Here is all the convincing you should need today.

+6.85 usage increase

+11.16 fantasy point per 48 minute increase

In 408 minutes this year off the court he picks up quite a few shots also (+4.93 FGA, +1.84 3PTA, +4.01 FTA) while increasing his scoring by 9.71 points.

I might have found my lock for tonight.

Ja Morant ($7,100 DK / $6,100 FD) at Houston Rockets

We are going to have to throw the past three games from Morant because quite frankly, he has just been terrible. If there is a game to get him back on track, this could just be what the doctor ordered.

Memphis is down JJJ and Brandon Clarke tonight while in the highest game total of the night against a team that likes to run small in Houston. Regardless of what the score actually is in the game, Morant could crack the 40 minute mark tonight.

He has had success in his two meetings this year against Houston. On November 4 he netted 39 fantasy points in 28 minutes and followed that up with a 49 fantasy point performance on January 14.

Morant lands a decent matchup against Houston as they allow 37.9 fantasy points per game on the season.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Jakob Poltl ($3,200 DK / $4,000 FD) vs. Dallas Mavericks – With Aldridge out, he should draw the start and see 20 plus minutes. Assuming he will be pretty highly owned, but I’m fine with taking the ownership and differencing somewhere else.

Tyus Jones ($3,500 DK / $3,700 FD) at Houston Rockets – Memphis just doesn’t have many active players tonight. In the highest game total of the night and the Rockets playing with smaller lineups, Jones at the minimum price will be hard to pass up tonight.

Mikal Bridges ($4,400 DK / $5,000 FD), Dario Saric ($3,200 DK / $3,700 FD) or Cameron Johnson ($3,300 DK / $3,700 FD) vs. Los Angeles Clippers –Oubre Jr. has already been ruled out tonight and his 22.5% usage rate has to go somewhere. It’s a tough matchup with the Clippers and I like Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker also, but if you need to save some money the Suns have a few options which are playable. I wouldn’t use more than one of the cheap guys in a lineup, however.
