I hope everyone is feeling refreshed after the All-Star game break and came back last night with some green screen. I know I seen a lot of good work done in our Discord chat so I encourage you to jump in there and join the conversation!

Friday features a nine game slate with some high volume players already ruled out. Karl Anthony-Town and Damian Lillard are set to miss an extended period of time while Kemba Walker looks to be sidelined for a few game. That leaves some great opportunities for others to step up in their spots.

Our two highest game totals come from the late games as Grizzlies concludes their back-to-back against the Lakers while the Pelicans travel to take on the Dameless Trailblazers.

Top of the Key

Jayson Tatum ($7,800 DK / $8,700 FD) at Minnesota Timberwolves

With Kemba Walker ruled out tonight, the Celtics are going to carry heavy ownership. I don’t think you can go wrong with either Tatum or Jaylen Brown tonight, but let’s dig a little deeper into Tatum.

In his past five games, Tatum has really stepped up his play and is now the focal point of the Celtics offense. During that time, he has averaged 29 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.4 assist with nearly a 30 percent usage rate.

With Walker out, Tatum gets a 5.12% usage boost making him even more enticing tonight.

He is fresh off a 56 fantasy point performance before the break against the Clippers and should be able to reach that mark again tonight.

CJ McCollum ($6,600 DK / $6,900 FD) vs. New Orleans Pelicans

You would think that the sites would have been able to adjust this pricing with a seven day break, but none the less, this is where we sit. To put is simply, McCollum is way too cheap tonight.

McCollum has not been great as of late, but everything changes with Lillard out of the mix. With their star point guard off the court, McCollum see a nine percent usage bump and a 10.37 fantasy point per 48 minimum increase.

Pair that with the highest game total at 238.5, a team total at 117 and a 4.64 pace bump for the Blazers, I am going to be very heavy on McCollum tonight.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Anfernee Simons ($3,500 DK / $4,800 FD) vs. New Orleans Pelicans – See McCollum above. This price is just stupid.

De’Anthony Melton ($4,000 DK / $4,600 FD) at Los Angeles Lakers – Melton has been really solid as of late and is coming off a monster game last night. Should he continue to see his minutes around the 25 mark, he looks like a great play at his price on both sites tonight.

Enes Kanter ($3,700 DK / $4,100 FD) at Minnesota Timberwolves – He has a very good matchup tonight with the depleted Timberwolves. I probably won’t be burning my only center spot on FanDuel on him tonight but his price point is very intriguing on DraftKings if he gets the start.
