I hope everyone enjoyed “Gordon Hayward Chalk Night” yesterday! It doesn’t seem like DraftKings was sleeping as much when pricing tonight’s four game slate however but there are still a ton of spots I like with just eight teams in play.
Our friends from Washington are on the slate tonight who has been one of the most interesting teams. They rank dead last in defensive efficiency but rank fourth in offensive efficiency. Until further notice, I think you need to highly consider rostering players in their matchups.
Here is what we are dealing with tonight.

Top of the Key
Jimmy Butler ($9,100 DK / $9,600 FD) vs. Atlanta Hawks
Butler has been a monster as of late as he has recorded 43, 68, 55, 62 and 35 fantasy points in his last five games. During that stretch he has a 27.98% usage rate while averaging 38.9 minutes.
The Heat are already without Goran Dragic and Justice Winslow tonight and Bam Adebayo if currently listed on the injury report. Should he also miss, Butler will have to take over even more at the offensive end.
Miami comes in with a 113.2 team implied total and have a huge 4.54 pace bump in their matchup with Washington. Butler is my number one pay up option tonight.
Bradley Beal ($9,300 DK / $9,700 FD) at Charlotte Hornets
Beal has not had a blow up game for close to a month now, but the matchup against the Hornets could be just what he needs. The Wizards team total is sitting at 115.5, the second highest on the slate tonight.
Over his past five contests, the Wizards guard is logging an insane 38 minutes per contest and is only second to Trae Young as far as usage goes on tonight’s slate at 33.2%. He is also adding some peripheral status during that time with 5.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.0 steals. If I am spending on two players in my lineups tonight, I am going with Beal as my second.
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Kelly Olynyk ($4,100 DK / $4,500 FD) vs. Atlanta Hawks – He is seeing 22.2 minutes per game over his past five games and Adebayo is currently listed on the injury report. Even if he suits up, I still like Olynyk as a value play.
Miles Bridges ($5,100 DK / $5,400 FD) vs. Washington Wizards – As I want to target this game tonight, Bridges comes in at a great price point to get another piece of this game.
Derrick Jones Jr. ($3,600 DK / $3,500 FD) vs. Atlanta Hawks – Has played 26 and 27 minutes in his past two games. If he can get to that range again tonight I can see myself talking a shot here if I am running multiple lineups. He has a good ceiling for the price, but also an incredibly low floor.
