Monday kicks off the week with a huge 11 game slate featuring the Atlanta Hawks hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves with the highest game total at 236.5 along with three other games in the 220’s.
With only three players priced above $10,000 on DraftKings, let’s take a look at who will be squaring off this evening.
Top of the Key
Bam Adebayo ($7,100 DK / $8,800 FD) vs. Charlotte Hornets
Coming off a low 19 fantasy point performance on Saturday, Adebayo is set up for a great bounce back spot as he takes on the Hornets frontcourt. Charlotte has given up no less than 38.25 fantasy points to opposing centers over its past three games and ranks 27th overall against the position this season.
Before Saturday, the Miami big man topped the 50 point mark in two of his previous three games and averaged nearly 40 fantasy points per game in his last five.
Hassan Whiteside (6,100 DK / 8,100 FD) at Chicago Bulls
Whiteside has missed the past two games due to injury, but looks to be on track to play in Monday’s contest against the Bulls.
At just $6,100 on DraftKings, it will hard for me to pass on Whiteside tonight as Chicago ranks 28th against the center position this season. Whiteside has averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds over his past five games and has been producing 1.13 fantasy points per minute over that stretch.
In what should be a close game (Portland favored by 1) and a 113.5 implied team total, Whiteside could be in line for a big game in his return.
Baseline Looks
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Malcom Brogdon ($6,000 DK / $8,500 FD) vs. Memphis Grizzlies – More of a DraftKings play for me tonight. If we hear he won’t be limited to less than 25 minutes I will have a lot of Brogdon in my lineups tonight,
JaVale McGee ($4,500 DK / $4,200 FD) at San Antonio Suprs – Anthony Davis is listed on the injury report. If he can’t go tonight I will have interest in McGee as he gets a huge bump.
Richaun Holmes ($6,200 DK / $6,200 FD) vs. Golden State Warriors – I have some interest at this time, but the Celtics just added Daniel Theis to the injury report. If he sits and we hear that Enes Kanter is starting, I will be increasing my exposure to Holmes.
