Hope everyone took advantage of the article yesterday. It basically said stack the Milwaukee versus Washington game and that did not disappoint. When your three top mentions are the highest scorers on the slate, it usually turns out pretty well.
Anyways, on to Wednesday where have a six game slate with the Knicks and Grizzlies on the second half of their back to back.
Our late night hammer features the highest game total of the night (238.5) as Houston travels to Portland.
Top of the Key
Russell Westbrook ($10,400 DK / $11,000 FD) at Portland Trailblazers
Westbrook has been going bonkers lately as he is putting up MVP type of stats over his past five games. In that time he is averaging 34.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 8.8 assists in 37.9 minutes.
James Harden is still listed as a game time decision and if he misses his third straight game, Westbrook’s 36.58 usage rate should climb close to the 40% mark.
Portland has been giving up 40 fantasy points per game to the opposing point guard position and Westbrook has already put up 69 and 70 fantasy points against the Trailblazers this year. I’ll take my changes with Russ tonight.
Ja Morant ($7,200 DK / $7,300 FD) at New York Knicks
The rookie has been a model of consistency as of late. Over his past 10 game he has exceeded 35 fantasy points in nine of them.
Morant has also gained a boost his last two games out grabbing five and six rebounds in those contests. Seeing 30.8 minutes per game with a 32.45 usage rate, he should be able to rack up some quick points against a Knicks team that allows on average 37 fantasy points per game to the opposing point guard.
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Mike Conley ($3,800 DK / $3,800 FD) at San Antonio Spurs – Who? Yes, Conley has been having a dreadful season but he did see 25 minutes of action last game. We know he is a talented player and I am willing to take a shot tonight with a low price point.
Christian Wood ($4,500 DK / $3,800 FD), Markieff Morris ($4,400 DK / $3,800 FD) and Thon Maker ($3,800 DK / $3,800 FD) at Brooklyn Nets – Andre Drummond wants no part of being a Piston anymore so I think there is a good possibility he sits tonight with another “injury”. Looks for these three to pick up the slack in his absence.
