As we witnessed yesterday, these last few games in the bubble are going to be a mess. We do not have all the injury news for today with a boatload of starters still listed as game time decisions.
Value is bound to pop up again today so make sure when you are constructing lineups to have your players who games are later in your bottom three roster positions (on DraftKings) to make it easier to make pivots if needed.
No one is playing for a playoff spot today, just where they are seeded. Denver is fighting for the number two seed still but as they showed in their last game against the Lakers, they were willing to rest their starters down the stretch.
Top of the Key
James Harden ($11,100 DK / $10.800 FD) vs. Indiana Pacers
This is a steep price to pay for anyone, but I think you can make it fit today.
Harden is in a great spot today with no Russell Westbrook ruled out already and it is possible he Harden could be under owned due to Westbrook’s underwhelming performance yesterday.
In 179 minutes of bubble play, Harden is averaging 1.77 DraftKings and 1.76 FanDuel fantasy points per minute with Westbrook on the court.
With Westbrook off, those numbers jump to 2.07 DK and 2.02 FD FPPM and his usage rate sits at a robust 36.8%.
In my opinion, Harden is the clear pay up option on today’s slate.
Jimmy Butler ($7,800 DK / $7,900 FD) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Despite playing only 29 minutes in his return last game, Butler still managed 51 DK points even though he only shot 5-13 from the field. He did put up good peripheral numbers with 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
Butler’s FPPM look solid in 92 bubble minutes (1.42 DK / 1.51 FD) and if he can get over the 30-minute mark today, his price is at a point where he can exceed value.
Baseline Looks
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Darius Bazley ($4,800 DK / $4,800 FD) vs. Miami Heat – His price is a little high but he has been preforming well in the bubble. I will have more interest if the Thunder rule out a few starters but in 29 minutes per game, he is averaging 1.25 FPPM with a 22.6 usage rate.
Aaron Holiday ($4,600 DK / $4,000 FD) vs. Houston Rockets – We are waiting on some injury news from Indiana yet, but Holiday has been seeing and average of 34 minutes since the return. If a few Pacers are ruled out, expect Holiday to pick up some of their usage.
Josh Richardson (5,700 DK / 5,200 FD) vs. Toronto Raptors – Richardson should be a go after sitting out last game. Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid and Al Horford are all tagged as a game time decisions and if any of them are ruled out, it will only befit Richardson.
