Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 8/25/20

Wednesday brings us a two game slate with Denver in a must win situation against Utah and Dallas and Los Angeles tied at two games each.

We already have the new that Kristaps Porzingis will miss his second consecutive game with a knee injury, which opens up many viable options on Dallas.

The Clippers and Mavericks matchup is looking to be higher scoring with a game total of 236.5 while the Nuggets and Jazz sit at 219.5.

Top of the Key

Luka Doncic ($11,000 DK / $11,000 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers

This looks like the no-brainer of the century as Doncic looks unstoppable even though he is hampered by an ankle injury.

It is going to be nearly impossible for him to duplicate his performance on Sunday as he notched his fifth triple double since the return while scoring 93 DraftKings points. His efficiency was off the charts as he connected on 18 of his 31 shots while pulling down 17 rebounds and handing out 13 assists.

No doubt, Doncic will the highest owned player on the slate but that is for a good reason. In the bubble with Porzingis off the court, he is averaging 1.79 DK points per minute with a 36.9% usage rate.

The Mavericks are currently eight point underdogs and if they have any chance at pulling an upset once again, it will be in the hands of Doncic tonight.

Lou Williams ($6,400 DK / $6,200 FD) vs. Dallas Mavericks

Williams had his best game since the return on Sunday as he scored 51 DK points on 13-20 shooting and also added four rebounds and five assists. This was an uptick in shots as his previous high was 13 in the bubble.

During the series Williams has had stable minutes off the bench seeing 31 or more in three out of four contests. With Paul George’s inefficient play, the Clippers sixth man should again exceed the 30-minute mark and pick up most of the second unit usage off the bench.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Trey Burke ($4,500 DK / $4,400 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers – Burke delivered with 38 DK points on Sunday in his start and looks to be penciled in once again tonight. He logged 37 minutes and went 10-14 from the field while adding five rebounds. He will likely come with high ownership with Porzingis out but he should be a main play in your cash lineups.

Joe Ingles ($5,000 DK / $4,900 FD) at Denver Nuggets – After two straight underwhelming games, Ingles has seen his price drop to the $5,000/$4,900 mark. As he showed in the first two games of the series, he is capable of scoring in the 30’s, so I will have a few shots with Ingles in tournaments hoping for one of his ceiling games.

Seth Curry (4,600 DK / 4,800 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers – As all the ownership will flock to Burke, Curry makes an excellent pivot at lower ownership. I have a feeling Dallas will ride the hot hand so if Curry knocks down his first few shots, he could be in for a big night.
