Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 8/21/20

Well we got our bounce back performances from the number one seeds yesterday, with the Lakers being a little more convincing, and today we have both the 76ers and Nets on the brink of going down 3-0 in their respective series.

Once again, our highest game total comes from the Clippers and Mavericks matchup at 232 with all three other games checking in around the high 210’s.

Top of the Key

Caris LeVert ($8,100 DK / $8,400 FD) at Toronto Raptors

LeVert was carrying a heavy workload thought out the bubble and with Joe Harris not available for this game; he is going to have to take on even a bigger role in this offense.

His price is still low enough if you are looking to build a more balanced lineup he could fit the build today. In the 273 minutes he has logged in the bubble he is sporting a 31.8% usage rate and 1.32 DraftKings and 1.31 FanDuel fantasy points per game.

Despite his poor shooting (5-22) against Toronto on Wednesday he did manage to contribute with 11 assists for 43 DK points. If he can knock down a few more shots and keep the assist numbers up, he should be a solid game if Brooklyn keeps it close.

Fred VanVleet ($7,600 DK / $7,900 FD) vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Raptors guard followed up his monster 57 DK point performance with a solid 46 DK points on Wednesday while notching his second consecutive double double.

I like Toronto as a whole team today, but I like the consistency on how VanVleet has been playing. Their minutes seem to be secure as they are typically only running eight players per game and I would expect that to be the same today.

He has averaged 41 minutes in the first two games and with those minutes and the opportunity he is given in the offense he should have a solid floor as a mid-range salary option.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Maxi Kleber ($3,900 DK / $4,000 FD) Los Angeles Clippers – Kleber projected in the starting lineup. At his price point in the highest game total, I like his opportunity.

Hontrezl Harrell ($4,100 DK / $4,700 FD) vs. Dallas Mavericks – Will this be the game where Harrell pushes over the 25-minute mark? His court time is trending in the right direction since returning as he played 15 minutes in his first game and 22 minutes in his second since returning.

Jeremiah Martin (3,000 DK / 3,500 FD) at Toronto Raptors – I have to admit I am a little scared to pull the trigger on this one. However, with Harris off the court, Martin has logged 81 minutes and has a usage rate of 31.7%. It could be worth a look at the minimum price in tournaments.
