Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 8/17/20

Thankfully, we have made it through the regular season with no health related issues in the bubble and are finally get some playoff NBA basketball!

We kick off the playoffs with a nice four game slate starting at 12:30 CT. Toronto is the heaviest favorite tomorrow and the matchup between Dallas and Los Angeles comes in with a 230 game total, the highest on the slate.

Top of the Key

Kristaps Porzingis ($8,300 DK / $8,600 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers

Porzingis has really stepped up his play during the bubble restart. Dallas is a team trending in the right direction and if the Mavericks have a chance at pulling an upset against the Clippers, they will rely on Porzingis and Luka Doncic.

Over his past five games, the Mavericks big man has averaged 32.2 points and 10 rebounds in 37.9 minutes of action. During the entire return, Porzingis is averaging 1.38 DraftKings and 1.36 FanDuel points in 216 total minutes of action.

The Clippers are usually not a team we are looking to attack, but at his price I prefer him over Donic today along with his position eligibility.

Caris LeVert ($7,600 DK / $8,300 FD) at Toronto Raptors

This is by far the most lopsided matchup of today, but LeVert has shown the ability to keep his team in the game despite any situation.

Coming off his best game in the bubble where he went 16-29 with nine assists (62 DK points) against Portland, if the Nets are going to stay in this game, LeVert will more than likely be the reason.

He has a team leading 33.6% usage rate since the return as has put up 1.36 DK and FD points per mininute.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Garrett Temple ($4,400 DK / $3,800 FD) at Toronto Raptors – Pricing is tight tomorrow and Temple could be the salary saver we are looking for. He as topped the 30 DK point mark three times since the return and has played 37 minutes in his last two contests.

Marc Gasol ($4,300 DK / $4,900 FD) vs. Brooklyn Nets – Gasol has not been spectacular in the bubble, but he has been consistent. He faces a very enticing matchup against Brooklyn who has given up an average of 32 DK points to centers this season.

Jordan Clarkson (3,900 DK / 4,400 FD) at Denver Nuggets – His minutes have been trending down as of late, but with Mike Conley exiting the bubble, he comes in at a low enough price point for me to take a gamble on him today.
