Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 8/14/20

We had a solid day yesterday on this picks with the high pick in Damian Lillard (Bubble GOAT), Ja Morant but also nailed Boban Marjanovic and Nickeil Alexander-Walker as the value picks. Let us try to keep that momentum going into the last day of the regular season.

Today is going to be an adventure to say the least. It is highly unlikely that starters, if they have not been ruled out already, will get any significant run. If you can nail down who is going to get the most minutes, I would say your chance of success is high today.

Top of the Key

Chris Boucher ($5,300 DK / $5,000 FD) vs. Denver Nuggets

Boucher should get the starting nod today with Toronto resting most of their starting five before the playoffs begin. I would imagine he would be one of the highest owned players on the slate, but for a good reason.

The Raptors big man has proven that he can produce in the past when given minutes. With Toronto having some of their normal rotation out the past few games, Boucher has come up big.

Against Milwaukee, he dropped 53 DraftKings points and then followed that up with a 40 DK point performance against Philadelphia. Today might be his opportunity to outscore even those gaudy numbers.

Tyler Herro ($5,700 DK / $5,300 FD) Indiana Pacers

Herro is another player who looks like he will be stepping into the starting rotation today with Jimmy Butler ruled out. The Heat rookie should be in a prime spot to end his regular season campaign on a high note.

In two of his last three games, he has scored 51 and 46 DK points, respectively. In both of those games, he seen at least 36 minutes of action and I’d expect to see around the same today.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

PJ Dozier ($4,100 DK / $3,900 FD) Toronto Raptors – Should see some decent run today as Denver is looking to stay fresh for the playoffs. He has had two 31 DK point games in the bubble and in those games he did not crack 30 minutes.

Darius Bazley ($5,400 DK / $5,200 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers –Bazley has played exceptionally well over his past few games and should have his same opportunity to thrive today. In his last three contests, he is averaging 42 DK points.

Duncan Robinson (5,300 DK / 4,300 FD) at Indiana Pacers – This could be a nice ownership pivot in tournaments from Herro. If Robinson can get hot from deep he could be the diamond in the rough we are looking for today. Against Phoenix last week, he scored 39 DK points in 37 minutes of action.
