As we hit the midway point of the week, Wednesday night gives a healthy nine game slate beginning at the normal 6:00 CT start time.
We are starting to get some good data to look at trends, we don’t really have to look too hard to see that Washington or Brooklyn have any interest or capabilities of playing defense. With both of those teams on the slate again, that will be a place we want to at least focus some of our lineups on.
Another game of interest will be the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks with a 232.5 game total.
As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!
Top of the Key
Malcom Brogdon ($7,400 DK / $7,200 FD) at Brooklyn Nets
Speaking of Brooklyn, Indiana gets to take advantage of one the worst defensive units in the NBA, especially at the point guard position with Brogdon.
The Nets have now allowed 43.5 or more DraftKings fantasy points to opposing point guards in four of their past five games including a 73.5 DK FP performance to Russell Westbrook back on January 31st.
Brogdon has had his struggles the past three games which has drove down his price and there is no better matchup to get him back on track.
With a 116.5 team implied total, I am going to be using Brogdon in a majority of my lineups tonight.
Russell Westbrook ($8,400 DK / $9,700 FD) vs. Toronto Raptors
I’m not really sure how DraftKings landed on this price tag for Westbrook, but for a guy with nightly triple-double upside, it is way too cheap.
For the box score watchers, his recent log has not looked very good. He has only played in two of the past four games and in those games only has averaged 28.5 minutes due to blowouts.
His usage rate over the past five games has still been great at 31.2% so if we can get him in the mid-30’s he could well exceed value to night.
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Kevin Huerter ($5,600 DK / $5,000 FD) at Dallas Mavericks – He is averaging 36.4 minutes per game over the past week and his price just is not adjusting to his playing time.
Isiah Roby ($3,700 DK / $5,000 FD) vs. Los Angeles Lakers – Oklahoma City is an absolute mess right now. If somehow he finds his way in the starting lineup, I love his price on DraftKings.
Denzel Valentine ($5,300 DK / $4,400 FD) vs. New Orleans Pelicans – I much prefer his price on FanDuel today but he is still a viable option on DraftKings with all the injuries Chicago has right now.
