Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 12/31/20

We are finally to the end of 2020! DraftKings has a five game set for us today while FanDuel excludes the first game and is only four games.

We have most of the Houston Rockets team coming back from their quarantine and there is no real injury news as of now. However, it is the last day of 2020 so expect something wild to happen!

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

John Wall ($7,100 DK / $7,000 FD) vs. Sacramento Kings

Wall is finally able to get back into action after missing the first two games of the season and come back to one of the best game environments you could ask for. The game total is currently at 231.5 which is far and away the highest on the slate.

As we do not have anything to go off from this season, Wall has typically been one of the best fantasy points per minute producers over the past five years when healthy. There is no word on a minutes restriction and we are getting him at a bargain price.

I really like him in tournaments today and is a fringe cash play.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($8,100 DK / $8,400 FD) vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Gilgeous-Alexander has not been off to a great start this season, however he has given us 40 or more fantasy points in each of his three games.

He is clearly the go to guy on this team with a 30.7% usage rate through the first three games; he has just been inefficient in his scoring.

In three games, he has also added some good peripheral stats with 23 assists and 17 rebounds.

Should he connect on few more shots tonight, he has the upside to be one of the highest fantasy scoring players on the slate.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Michael Carter-Williams ($3,600 DK / N/A FD) vs. Philidelphia 76ers – He should pick up some extra minutes with Terrance Ross ruled out. The former lottery pick has averaged 0.81 fantasy points on DraftKings per minute this season.

Elfred Payton ($5,900 DK / $5,200 FD) at Toronto Raptors – It is always hard for me to get to Payton but Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickly are listed as game time decisions. If both were to sit, I really like Payton in tournaments tonight.

Royce O’Neale ($3,800 DK / $3,800 FD) vs. Phoenix Suns – We do not have much for value at this time so O’Neale is my favorite play under $4,000 today. He is right around 0.50 fantasy points per minute but should see close to 30 minutes of action.
