Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 12/30/20

Tuesday brings us a nice six game slate with five of the six tipping off within an hour of each other. Should be a little easier to keep track of injury news today…

Our highest game total comes from the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets matchup that has a robust 239 game total. We also get an odd back-to-back matchup with the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks after the Bucks shredded them 144-97 last night.

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

Kevin Durant ($8,500 DK / $9,500 FD) vs. Atlanta Hawks

DraftKings is really trying to bait us here with an extremely low price point in the best environment of the night. With a 122.5 team total for the Nets and a 239 game total, this will be hard to pass up.

After only playing 25 minutes in his first game, Durant has logged games of 33 and 36 minutes. He is also coming off a DNP due to rest, so I would expect him to log around 35 minutes tonight.

Through three games, he has a 28.5% usage rate while averaging 1.34 DraftKings fantasy points and 1.32 FanDuel FP per minute.

Durant makes a strong cash and tournament play on both sites tonight.

DeMar DeRozen ($6,900 DK / $8,500 FD) Los Angeles Lakers

Another miss price in my opinion on DraftKings, however, I have minimal interest on FanDuel.

DeRozen is leading the Spurs this year in usage rate at 25.2% while averaging 1.49 DK FP and 1.50 FD FP per minute.

Two of his three games have went for over 50 fantasy points this season, and with the second highest game total on the slate, I like him as a cash and tournament option on DraftKings.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Tyler Herro ($5,400 DK / $4,500 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers – He actually got a $300 decrease from yesterday after scoring 23 points in their blowout loss. With Jimmy Butler out again, I would expect Herro to be one of the more popular options on the slate.

Bogdan Bogdanovic ($4,800 DK / $5,400 FD) at Brooklyn Nets – Bogdanovic has not had a ceiling game this season but tonight sets up for him to do so. Projected in the starting lineup, his price point in a 239 game total is too low on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Jrue Holiday ($6,400 DK / $6,400 FD) vs. Miami Heat – Coming off his best game of the season, Holiday received a $200 price decrease for his efforts last night. I really like his price point as my second point guard on FanDuel tonight.
