Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 12/28/20

Monday kicks off the week with a five game slate and we have multiple teams missing a number of players tonight.

Detroit has already ruled out Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose while the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets have multiple players on the COVID protocol list.

James Harden is the highest priced player on both sites after dropping 44 points and 17 assists in his first game and looks to continue tonight against the Denver Nuggets.

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

Nikola Jokic ($9,800 DK / $10,000 FD) vs. Houston Rockets

The Joker has been fantastic to start the season as he nearly missed his second triple double in as many games on Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Clippers. In their opener against the Sacramento Kings, the Nuggets’ big man put up 29 points with 15 rebounds and 14 assists.

He now faces a shorthanded Rockets team who have seven players listed out; however, the game only has a 6.5 point spread in favor of Denver.

The Nuggets are one of the highest paced up teams on tonight’s slate and if the game stays close, Jokic should see his minutes around the 40 mark.

With Harden looking to be very popular, I like the pivot to Jokic in tournaments.

Christian Wood ($7,200 DK / $8,100 FD) at Denver Nuggets

Staying in the same game, Wood looks like another great play and underpriced for his workload tonight.

In his Rockets debut, he logged 44 minutes and put up 22 shots en route to 31 points and 13 rebounds. He was also second on the team with 26.61% usage against Portland.

The pairing of Harden and Wood went for over 120 fantasy points and I would expect them to do the same in Denver tonight.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Delon Wright ($4,600 DK / $4,200 FD) and Killian Hayes ($4,200 DK / $3,800 FD) at Atlanta Hawks – Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin have combine for 50.08% of the teams usage this season and with them out, Detroit looks like places we can look for value tonight.

Grayson Allen ($3,800 DK / $3,700 FD) at Brooklyn Nets – Expected to start, Allen has logged 27 and 29 minutes early in the season. Memphis is dealing with COVID protocols so the third year man from Duke should have an opportunity to hit 30 minutes again in the highest game total on the slate.

Dillon Brooks ($5,500 DK / $3,700 FD) at Brooklyn Nets – I really like Brooks’ price tag on FanDuel. With some great pay up options, Brooks will be one of my core pieces tonight.
