Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 1/27/21

As the NBA has really staggered a small number of games one day and a large amount the next, we are on the larger end today as we get to sift through 12 games tonight.

We still have some teams being impacted by health protocols, most notably the Miami Head and the Washington Wizards, and who knows what the rest of the day will bring us.

There are a handful of games which game totals are in the high 220’s, but the Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks matchup really sticks out at 238.5 and keeps going up.

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

Bam Adebayo ($8,600 DK / $9,400 FD) vs. Denver Nuggets

Adebayo has been the one player who has stayed healthy in the Heat lineup and has had to carry a bulk of the load over the last week plus.

He has topped 41 DraftKings fantasy points in five of his past six games including a monster 63 DK FP performance on January 23 against the Nets.

Over the past five games, he is getting a ton of run averaging 35.3 minutes per game and has a 29.58 usage percentage.

With Jimmy Butler out once again and Tyler Herro looking closer to doubtful, Adebayo is seeing 16.2% of the teams total rebounding opportunities.

Goran Dragic is also listed on the injury report, and if he can’t go tonight I might just hit the lock button on Bam.

Gordon Hayward ($7,500 DK / $8,100 FD) vs. Indiana Pacers

Since returning to the lineup on January 16, Hayward minutes and production has really taken off with 50 DK FP in two of the four games.

In that four game stretch he is averaging 27.6 points and 5.8 rebounds with a 27.65 usage percentage. He also has been giving the green light to shoot the ball as he has averaged just under 18 shot attempts per game.

If we continue to see the shot volume and minutes (38 per game over his last four), Hayward remains one of the best mid-tier options on the slate.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Cameron Johnson ($4,800 DK / $4,600 FD) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – With Devin Booker and Dario Saric both out tonight, Johnson should have a clear path to 30-plus minutes.

Anthony Edwards ($4,500 DK / 4,500 FD) at Golden State Warriors– With Jarrett Culver out tonight, Edwards should pick up a few more minutes in a plus matchup. D’Angello Russel is also questionable to play tonight and if he can’t go, I really like Edwards as a salary saver with upside.

Lonzo Ball ($5,600 DK / $5,600 FD) vs. Washington Wizards – Ball is slowly working his way back and finally hit the 30-minute mark last game. If he stays at 30 minutes tonight, he should not have a problem exceeding value against the banged up Wizards.
