Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 1/25/21

We are back in action on Monday with a sizable 10 game slate to kick off the week. We have some good storylines as LeBron James heads back to Cleveland to take on the Cavilers while the Brooklyn Nets big three are also in action tonight.

Our highest game total on the night is with the afore mentioned Nets as they face off against a beat up Miami Heat team as Jimmy Butler is out once again tonight.

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

Stephen Curry ($9,200 DK / $9,600 FD) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Curry hasn’t popped off in a while but he does draw a plus matchup tonight against the Timberwolves who are already without Karl-Anthony Towns and possibly D’Angelo Russel tonight.

Over the past five games, Curry’s usage numbers have been solid so we are still getting a decent floor from him. Over his past five games, he still has a 33% usage rate and averaging 1.45 fantasy points per minute.

This should be one of the higher paced games on the night as Golden State is running with a 106.9 team pace this year while Minnesota is at 103.9.

Minnesota has already given up some huge games over the past week as Trae Young dropped 56 and 55 DK FP so Curry has enormous upside tonight.

Kendrick Nunn ($6,100 DK / $6,500 FD) at Brooklyn Nets

Finally breaking the $6,000 price point, Nunn has been fantastic over the past four games and will need to continue if the Heat want to keep it close against the Nets tonight.

During that time, Nunn is seeing a 23.2 usage percentage while shooting 56.1% from the field. He is also averaging 1.10 DK FP and 1.07 FD FP and has scored at least 32 DK FP in his last four games.

Brooklyn is allowing 29.7 fantasy points to point guards over the past five games and Collin Sexton had a monster 63.75 DK FP game against them a week ago.

With the Heat shorthanded once again, I think we can go back to Nunn in this matchup.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Cody Zeller ($3,300 DK / $3,900 FD) at Orlando Magic – He played 15 minutes in his second game back this weekend. If he can bump that up to 20 tonight he should have no problem hitting value. He has also played well against Nikola Vucevic in the past.

Khem Birch ($3,700 DK / 3,900 FD) vs. Charlotte Hornets – Birch has averaged 24.3 minutes over his past five games and Charolette allows opposing reserve centers 24.2 fantasy points per game. Worth a look if you are spending down in the front court today.

Justin Holiday ($4,700 DK / $4,100 FD) vs. Toronto Raptors – I prefer his price on FanDuel today if you are looking to pay down at shooting guard. Holiday is averaging 30 minutes and 0.92 fantasy points per minute over his last five games.
