Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 1/21/21

Although we only have a three game slate, we do have a marquee matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks to start off Thursday nights action. It might not be the best slate regarding the amount of games, but it should be some good viewing.

With that being the stand-alone game kicking off the slate at 6:30 CT, we then have to wait for the final two games to begin at 9:00 CT.

As of now, we have a relatively quiet day for injury news, besides the permanent “game time decision” tag next to LeBron James and the status of some New York Knicks guards.

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

Julius Randle ($8,800 DK / $9,000 FD) at Golden State Warriors

We get a nice little price discount on DraftKings today and Randle draws a pace up matchup with the Warriors.

As he has all season long, Randle continues to show his steady production as he has eclipsed 45 or more DraftKings points in his past four games. He also has back-to-back double doubles including a 17-rebound performance last time out against the Orlando Magic.

On the season, he is averaging 37.1 minutes per game and racking up 1.25 DK FP and 1.20 FD FP per minute. He also leads the team in both usage (27.9%) and total rebounding opportunities (15.4%)

Jrue Holliday ($6,600 DK / $7,400 FD) vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Holiday looks to be locked in to a solid minute’s floor as he has averaged 35 minutes over his past five games. This game should be competitive throughout so I would expect the same tonight.

During that time he has shown a solid floor, averaging 17 points, 4.6 assists and 3 blocks and steals.

In his first season with the Bucks, Holiday is averaging 1.06 DK FP and 1.09 FD FP giving him a solid opportunity tonight to exceed value tonight.

I much prefer Holiday’s price on DraftKings compared to FanDuel as we have a few other point guards priced much more intriguing.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

James Wiseman ($4,500 DK / $4,400 FD) vs. Los Angeles Lakers – Has put up 30-plus fantasy points in two of his past three games (early foul trouble in the game he did not) and is checking out to be one of the better low priced options today. I really like him on FanDuel as the center position is weak today.

Joe Ingles ($4,300 DK / 4,400 FD) vs. New Orleans Pelicans – Played 19 minutes in his return to the lineup on Tuesday. If he can get back to his normal 24-28 minutes he grades out as a great value.

Pat Connaughton ($3,400 DK / $4,000 FD) vs. Los Angeles Lakers – As of right now there are not many sub $4,000 plays today, but I do think Connaughton is an option in tournaments. Over his past four games he has gone for at least 18 or more DK FP.
