After a small two game slate yesterday, Wednesday presents us with a massive 10 game slate before we revert back to a small slate again tomorrow.
Six of the ten games take place within an hour of lock, followed by four late games. All of the early games have game totals around the 220 mark while two of the late games have significantly higher game totals.
We are still dealing with a bunch of depleted rosters, and inevitably, some news will break during the day to make it interesting.
As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!
Top of the Key
Kawhi Leonard ($9,400 DK / $9,100 FD) vs. Sacramento Kings
Coming off three days of rest, the Clippers get one of the best matchup on paper against the Kings. In games this season when Leonard has been well rested, he has seen a 16% fantasy point increase.
The two time finals MVP has been the go to guy in Los Angeles this season as he leads the team with a 28.9% usage rate and averages 1.30 DK FP and 1.31 FD FP per minute.
This is the second matchup against Sacramento this season. In their first matchup, he went 10-of-15 from the field with six assists and four rebounds in only 28 minutes due to a blowout.
If the Kings can keep this one somewhat close into the fourth quarter, Leonard could pay off as one of the top values on the slate.
Ja Morant ($7,300 DK / $7,900 FD) at Portland Trailblazers
Morant’s price has not adjusted since returning from injury, so we might as well take advantage of it until it catches up.
Since his return two games ago, he has logged 31 and 34 minutes so there is clearly no minute restriction. He also notched his first double-double of the season last game with 17 points and 10 rebounds despite only taking 10 shots from the field.
Portland has been a fantasy factory of goodness against the point guard position this season as they have allowed at least 37.25 fantasy points over their last four games.
Memphis will also be without Jonas Valanciunas tonight so Morant might be able to pick up a few more rebounds to solidify his floor even more.
Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.
Xavier Tillman ($3,500 DK / $4,600 FD) at Portland Trailblazers – Filling in for Valanciunas on Monday, he logged 29 minutes. If he sees that type of run again he grades out to be one of the better value options today.
Kendrick Nunn ($4,000 DK / 5,500 FD) at Toronto Raptors – Tyler Herro missed last game and Nunn was the beneficiary. He scored 35 DK points in 34 minutes and if Herro misses again tonight, we can go right back to Nunn.
Kevin Huerter ($9,500 DK / $5,500 FD) vs. Detroit Pistons – Clearly, DraftKings had an issue pricing Huerter today, but he does have an appealing price on FanDuel if Cam Reddish misses his second straight game.
