Snoop’s NBA “2-3 Zone” – 1/13/21

As what started at a 10-game Wednesday slate to begin the week, we are now down to eight games due to the cancelations of the Washington Wizards versus the Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic versus the Boston Celtics games.

It seems like the rest should be good to play tonight, but again we have multiple teams dealing with health protocol issues and injuries.

Looking back on yesterday, the Miami Heat chalk night was necessary to have if you wanted any chance at cashing. If you were brave enough to go back to Danny Green or Mike Scott in that game, you should have had a profitable night.

We have some interesting situations developing tonight as Kristaps Porzingis looks to make his season debut while the backcourt of the New Orleans Pelicans could be without a few key pieces.

As always, we will be discussing the slate throughout the day in our Discord, so make sure you head over to our premium membership page to get signed up!

Top of the Key

Brandon Ingram ($8,500 DK / $8,800 FD) vs. Los Angeles Clippers

We have some high priced studs on today’s slate with Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant, but if I am fading all three of those, Ingram is my building block in balanced lineups.

Lonzo Ball has already ruled out which gives Ingram a nice bump in usage. On the season, Ingram has a 29.4% usage rate but sees an increase of 4.23% with Ball off the court.

In nine games this season, the former Duke product is averaging 20.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 34.6 minutes. Per minute, he is averaging 1.25 DraftKings and 1.22 FanDuel fantasy points.

With Ball out, Ingram is one of the main beneficiaries to soak up some extra usage.

CJ McCollum ($8,600 DK / $9,200 FD) at Sacramento Kings

What has happened with CJ McCollum? He used to be a player to target only when Damian Lillard was out, but he has turned into a star this season with him on the court.

Over his past five games, McCollum is averaging 28.2 points and 4.2 assists while logging 33.5 minutes. He has also taken a team-high 19.8 field goals attempts over that stretch.

On the season, he ranks second on the Trailblazers with a 28.7 usage percentage while shooting at a 47.6 percent clip from the field.

He also draws a great matchup with the Kings today as they have allowed shooting guards to average 46.1 DK FP and 44.71 FD FP over the past five games.

Baseline Looks

Here are a few players and situations I will be keeping my eye that could be in good spots depending on how news breaks or players I will look into a little throughout the day.

Nickel Alexander-Walker ($3,100 DK / $3,800 FD) at Los Angeles Clippers – It’s never fun to target players against the Clippers, but NAW might be forced into playing a bigger role in tonight’s game. Lonzo Ball is already ruled out while Eric Bledsoe and JJ Redick are listed as game time decisions.

Cameron Johnson ($4,100 DK / 4,300 FD) and Dario Saric ($3,800 DK / 4,100 FD) vs. Atlanta Hawks – Monte Williams hinted there could be a lineup change in the near future. If either of Johnson or Saric slide into the starting rotation tonight, I will have interest at their price point.

Enes Kanter ($4,800 DK / $5,300 FD) at Sacramento Kings – It is unlikely we will know the status of Jusef Nurkic before lock, but if he were ruled out, I would have interest in Kanter, especially on the late slate.
