Chicago Bears (6-6) vs Dallas Cowboys (6-6)
O/U – 43.0
Dallas -3
Injuries
CHI – Taylor Gabriel/ Ben Braunnecker (TE) Trey Burton and Adam Shaneen (TE) also on the IR. Prince Amukara is doubtful, so Kevin Toliver will get his second career start
DAL – Pollard Questionable. OL Connor Williams is also out which will hurt the run game. Leighton Vander Esch out once again.
Tempo
Dallas is 4th in the league in pace and the Bears are 19th. I think the temp of the game will be based on who ever holds the lead.
Bears
RB’s – The RB situation is sort of tricky to figure out. David Montgomery is getting about 65% of snaps and Tarik Cohen is sitting at 55% of the snaps. Cohen has not been utilized as much as he once was and is getting about 4 receptions a game. Here is the part that we really need to make note of and is that the Cowboys LBS are banged up.
I am feeling a smash spot tonight for Cohen, especially with the Bears not having Gabriel, Burton, and Allen Robinson having a tough matchup. As for Montgomery he is getting the most carries, but he really hasn’t done a thing this year. He has one game with 100 yards rushing and one game where he has scored multiple touchdowns.
Obviously tonight when you are building your lineups you want exposure in your lineups based off the game script that the Bears have the lead.
WR’s –The Bears WRs are nothing really exciting, but we they continue to see heavy targets. Anthony Miller saw 13, Allen Robinson saw 12, and Javon Wims saw 6 last week. Allen Robinson has a really tough matchup versus Byron Jones this week and I believe Robinson will carry ownership. Jones has actually been pretty damn good this year containing WR’s (288 yards, 85 YAC, 2 TD) all of this in 400+ coverage snaps.
With that being said I really don’t have much interest in Robinson and I think the edge is to fade him entirely. Miller will be going against Jourdan Lewis and Miller should still remain to see heavy volume. Cowboys are 23rd in the league in pass DVOA and I expect we see heavy volume tonight to WRs.
TE’s – Jesper Horstead and Holtz will be the active TE’s and really are not on my radar.
QB- Mitchell Trubisky has been good as of late, but he has also has had plenty of mistakes. He has thrown four interceptions the last three games, but today the Bears are going to need him to throw to keep this game close. I will have HEAVY exposure to Trubisky.
Dallas
RB’s – Right now we have Tony Pollard as questionable and if he does indeed sit I believe Ezekiel Elliot will see ALL THE SNAPS! Ezekiel has been struggling heavily, but last week he came back to life with two TDS vs the Lions. I believe he will be heavily owned today which makes sense, but the Bears are ranked 12th in DVOA vs the run game which makes Ezekiel a possible fade in a few lineups. Of course, with the Cowboys being favorites, we will still see a heavy work. FADE AT YOUR OWN RISK
WR’s – Amari Cooper doesn’t need much discussion. He has a pretty good matchup vs Kyle Fuller. Randall Cobb is sick and will have to play an illness tonight. I don’t hate Cobb in cash lineups because he has a safe floor.
The main WR on Dallas I am most excited to play is Michael Gallup. Gallup is going to be matched up against Kevin Toliver who will have his second career start tonight and honestly I don’t see him faring well against Gallup in this matchup. I will have HEAVY exposure to Gallup and he is one of my favorite captain plays.
TE – Jason Witten is a touch down dependent type play in a decent matchup vs the Bears. I really don’t hate the play. Vegas has him at +285 to score tonight.
QB – Dak Prescott has had his struggles and honestly with the OL a little banged up, he has a good chance of making a mistake or two. Regardless, I think this is a game where we could see multiple touchdowns and I think you would be silly to fade.
Defense – I think it is quite possible that we will see an interception or two from Trubisky tonight. Especially, if he tries to force the ball to Robinson in a tough matchup. Cowboys are absolutely in play. Just make sure you take a look at the past perfect lineups to get a feel on how to utilize them.
Bovada player props (Anytime scorer)
Safe plays
Amari Cooper -105
Ezekiel Elliot -200
Riskier, but still on my radar
Michael Gallup +165
Anthony Miller +220
Tarik Cohen +185
David Montgomery +110
Perfect lineups
I will say this every time, don’t just plug in players and hope something sticks. Everything has a correlation. Also your captain plays should not be just a player because he is cheap and lets you get all the plays. PLEASE DON’T DO THIS
