Thursday is here, and we are graced with a nine game slate to cut through. Rosters lock at the usual time of 6:00 pm CST, so make sure your lineups are set by then. Also, please be sure to check services like Left Wing Lock or Daily Face Off to verify there have been no last minute line shuffling or goalie changes.

TOP SHELF
Patrick Gallagher (MTL) vs OTT
The Habs take on the Senators tonight, and like everyone else in the NHL, they are chomping at the bit to get their hands on Ottawa, and it’s easy to see why. The Sens are giving up over four goals a game. Gallagher is a shoe in for a goal tonight, and he won’t break the bank.
Auston Matthews (TOR) vs VAN
Matthews has consistently been one of the league’s top performers for ages, and when you get him in a premium matchup, it’s almost a no-brainer. So what do we have here? Matthews versus a Cunucks team Matthews versus a Cunucks team that’s allowed the most scoring chances and the second most goals in the NHL. Sign me up.
Elias Lindholm (CGY) vs WPG
Lindholm has been solid for the Flames. Thus far this season hes notched 11 points, including 2 goals and 11 assists. Although he shares the ice with guys like Johnny Hockey, it has been Lindholm who has earned the praise of his teammates for his slick puck handling and his ability to consistently put shots on target. Plus, the matchup against the Jets is rock solid. Couple that with Lindholm’s recent performances, and I’m sold on the Flames center tonight.
THE FIVE HOLE
Here are some players that might not be household names and who might fly under the radar that are in great spots. They are some less well known one offs that will save you some salary and bolster your stacks.
Vincent Trocheck (CAR) vs CHI
Trocheck was featured in this exact spot when the Canes took on the Blackhawks two nights ago, and the former Panthers center did not disappoint by going for over 20 DK points. I’m not scared to go back to the well tonight, especially since the matchup and his price are still the same.
Jordan Kyrou (STL) vs ARI
I have no idea why DraftKings has decided to leave this guy’s price so low, as he has quietly carried the torch for the St. Louis Blues so far this season. In the ten games the Blues have played, Kyrou has racked up a team high 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists). Although Arizona and Darcy Keumper have somewhat cleaned up their act defensively of late, that won’t pull me off this play. No matter how tough the defenses have been this season, Kyrou has consistently gotten his.

Coupling various research techniques with the discipline learned earning a JD from Baylor University School of Law, he was able to grind his way up to some entries in the 2017 Draft Kings Spin-O-Rama where he scored a six figure payday. From there he never looked back, and has racked up multiple five figure wins in NHL, MLB and Soccer, and countless four figure paydays in everything from MMA to eSports.
On a personal note, he spent 14 years as an Assistant District Attorney, but now spends his day hanging out with his family, watching his son play baseball and writing NHL and MLB content for DFSHQ.
