The weekend is here mi amigos. I don’t know how the weather is in your neck of the woods, but here in Texas is cold; like unreasonably cold. And anytime there’s even the slightest threat of I’ve on the roads, this state shuts down. So, since I’m stuck here bored out of my tit, let’s talk hockey. Rosters lock at the usual time of 6:00 pm CST, so make sure your lineups are set by then. Also, please be sure to check services like Left Wing Lock or Daily Face Off to verify there have been no last minute line shuffling or goalie changes. This article will discuss the one offs you can plug into your lineups to compliment your stacks or with which to start your cash games. Also, our members will be discussing the slate, lineup construction and everything else NHL DFS related in our Discord, so do yourself a favor and find your way to our premium membership page and get signed up so you won’t miss out on the edge our membership provides!
TOP SHELF
Patrick Kane (CHI) vs CBJ
Although the addition of Patrick Kane seems to have sparked the Jackets offense, their defensive and goalie play has yet to catch up. Patrick Kane is still has some of the best forward vision in the game, and is a consistent source of production against any team he faces.
Connor Garland (ARI) vs STL
Looking for someone who is quietly putting together a monster season that many people will overlook as a cash game play or GPP one off? I give you Connor Garland. His DK price has crept upward to keep pace with his production, but that won’t keep me off him tonight.
Elias Lindholm (CGY) vs VAN
Although the Canucks team has tightened up the act somewhat when playing defense, they are still prime targets for DFS purposes. The Flames top line center has found some lovely chemistry with Brady Tkachuk, and I see them cutting up whatever semblance of a defense Vancouver tosses at them.
THE FIVE HOLE
Here are some players that might not be household names and who might fly under the radar that are in great spots. They are some less well known one offs that will save you some salary and bolster your stacks.
Mike Hoffman (STL) vs ARI
This guy has quickly meshed with the Blues after coming over from Florida. His price started out ridiculously low and still hasn’t caught up with his production level. I love the Blues tonight and this guy will be a part of my builds.
Jack Roslovic (CBJ) vs CHI
Since come over from Winnipeg, Roslovic has turned heads in his new role of the center of CBJ1. In the last 6 games, Roslovic has accounted for 9 points, including 4 goals. Chicago’s defense is very beatable, and at only $4700, you should make sure Roslovic finds his way into your builds.
Coupling various research techniques with the discipline learned earning a JD from Baylor University School of Law, he was able to grind his way up to some entries in the 2017 Draft Kings Spin-O-Rama where he scored a six figure payday. From there he never looked back, and has racked up multiple five figure wins in NHL, MLB and Soccer, and countless four figure paydays in everything from MMA to eSports.
On a personal note, he spent 14 years as an Assistant District Attorney, but now spends his day hanging out with his family, watching his son play baseball and writing NHL and MLB content for DFSHQ.
