Frank’s MLB DFS Pitching Gems – 9/13/19

Happy Friday!!!!!! Love Friday man, it’s been a long ass week and now I get to spend the day playing kickball (My 5th graders against a 4th grade class). If you are looking to play that on DK, my student Derrick is a LOCK.

Anyways last night went pretty well for me, ended up playing Mahle but decided to run Lewis in the same lineup. That in the end helped with Mahle shitting the bed. We have a nice slate today and I have a few options for you to help with your build.

Gerrit Cole vs Kansas City Royals ($12,000 FD/$12,200 DK)

Cole to me is the cash lock of the day. He is a -410 favorite and has a TT sitting under 2 runs. That to me screams CASH LOCK ALLLLLLL DAY. I also do not mind finding ways to locking him in GPPS in this juicy matchup. Cole is striking out 39.4% of the batters he has faced along with a 6.53 k/BB rate. Even if he somehow struggles in this matchup, the K’s will be there and should be locked into all cash lineups.

Max Scherzer vs Atlanta Braves ($10,400 FD/$11,400 DK)

Finally Scherzer was unleashed his last outing, throwing 94 pitches. He is a -149 favorite with a TT sitting at 3.50. Max is holding opposing teams to a .218 batting average while posting a 114:20 K:BB rate at home. He is striking out batters at a 35% and with that being said, he is another cash lock for me.

Clayton Kershaw ($10,800 FD/$10,800 DK)

Now look, Kershaw has been getting handled as of late. Is he hurt? Command issue? We all know that Kershaw is utterly disgusting when he is on and in this matchup I think that makes him the perfect GPP play. He is a -133 favorite with a TT sitting at 3.30.

The Mets did destroy him in Los Angeles in May, which makes this matchup a tough pill to swallow. Now with all that being said, if I am running multiple GPP lineups or I feel like just being risky to win some green then Kershaw is my man tonight. He won’t be owned and he has the upside that could take down GPPS. (GPP only)

Luis Castillo at Arizona Diamondbacks ($10,400 FD/$10.500 DK)

Castillo is traveling to Arizona where he -109 favorite with a TT sitting at 4.63. The Team total scares the shit out of me, but that is what everyone else is going to think as well. Castillo has four straight 20 DK point starts and is going against an Arizona team that has been hitting .109 their last 6 games.

Castillo’s flyball rate is at a low 26% and has an 18% HR/FB rate. To me this matchup is set for success and if I was a gambling man I would take the under for Arizona.

Sandy Aalcantara at San Francisco Giants ($6,800 FD/ $8,000 DK)

Alcantara has been quietly KILLLING IT. His last four starts he has 17 DK points, 26 DK points. 17 DK points, and 41 DK points. He has struck out at least seven batters through the starts and I see that continuing tonight.

The Marlins righty is a +151 underdog with a TT sitting a little over 5. The main issue is his walk rate, but hopefully he can limit the damage against this average San Francisco lineup. With that being said I highly disagree with what Vegas is thinking tonight, and with that I think that makes him an excellent GPP option.

Make sure that you follow me on twitter @VGo07 and also give @DFSHeadquarters a follow on twitter. We have some amazing College football content dropping tonight and we are talking about football nonstop!

To join it $7 a day, $15 a month, $40 for three months. GOOD LUCK!
