Here we are, back again for another HUGE slate that makes me want to barf. I mean 15 games? Gross…Anyways, this slate looks fun regardless that it is 15 games and I am going to make it a little bit easier for you with this article.

Let’s talk about yesterday, my article suggested Paxton and Fried, both who pitched pretty damn well. Paxton looked alright even though the once highly talked about Mets prospect Travis d’Arnaud hit two three home runs. Now seriously, Travis d’Arnaud? Rays sometimes do magical things with these players.

Now Fried on the other hand was DISGUSTING! Five innings, three hits and five strikeouts. He finished with 22.25 DK points but sadly had to be pulled because of a blister problem. Either way I hope you made some money with those picks, I did. Now, about today’s two pitchers!

Brandon Woodruff ($8700 DK/$9,600 FD) vs. Atlanta

When I first saw his pricing I didn’t really know what to say? Was DraftKings drunk when they made his price? Maybe the DraftKings team had a rough Monday night and forgot to add some BS to their model? I don’t know, but all I can do is thank them and lock him in. Woodruff is a -172 favorite, pitching at home, and as a favorite he is also the benefactor of a reverse line movement with a 3.58 team total. The dude can flat out pitch. Let’s break down the numbers and figure it out from here.

Atlanta away vs. RHP

K% – 22%

AVG – .252

OBPS – .759

WOBA – .321

I get it, those numbers look scary…don’t let those numbers talk you off this play. Here are Woodruff’s Statcast numbers the past two weeks:

Groundball – 40.2 (Green)

Fly ball – 34.3 (Green)

Line drive – 25.4 (Red)

Hard Contact – 26.9 (Green)

Soft Contact – 32.8 (Green)

Average Exit Velocity – 85.90 (Green)

Can you see the pattern? Lock this man in!

The next pitcher, I find to be super under priced and in a great spot to exceed value tonight.

Jack Flaherty ($7400 DK/$7,700 FD) vs. Pittsburgh

Flaherty has been so up and down this season and honestly the Pirates could absolutely do damage. That mindset had people not playing Mikolas last night, including myself. Mikolas threw an absolute gem and he isn’t close to being on the same level as Flaherty talent wise. Flaherty is a -175 home favorite and has 20 DK point upside against this, meh, Pirates lineup.

At this price you can lock him in and spend up on the big bats.

I am locking in Flaherty and Woodruff in my lineups tonight and you should do the same!
