This morning I woke up and immediately said, “ITS FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!” I know this is something we all look forward to while we work our asses off throughout the week. I know I do after taking care of seventy screaming kids and dealing with nonsense all week…ugh anyways, let’s talk about this HUGE slate and find the value we need to make some reallllll cash.

Yesterday’s my picks were Alcantara and Canning and well we know how that went. Alcantara gave up four home runs which was shocking to me, due to the fact in his past seven home starts he gave up zero. Canning on the other hand looked filthy and shut down my A’s team like I figured he would. Anyways back to today’s slate.

The first pitcher I want to talk about is Wade Miley vs Seattle ($8,600). The Mariner’s projected lineup strikes out a TON vs lefties and the best hitters on that team besides (Santana) and (Murphy) are lefties. So this matchup on paper looks beyond sexy. Miley has had back to back outings on the road which he did ok, but this matchup is at home where he excels! Miley has an era under 2 at home limiting opponents to a .201 AVG. Ok now we can get to the good stuff and see how the Mariners are on the road vs LHP.

K%- 28.4% (3rd)

AVG-.221 ( 28th)

OBP- .315 (17th)

ISO-.170 (14th)

wOBA-. 305 (17th)

As you can see the Mariners really are just average when going against a lefty and today I highly doubt that changes vs Miley. Lock in Miley and don’t think twice!

Before we get to the second pitcher, I really want to talk about two other options I don’t mind, but are both over 9k. Soroka ($9,300) too cheap and Clevinger ($9,600) who will be chalky. Both to me are in play and wouldn’t be a stupid idea to pick one then value pitcher or just playing both. Anyways let’s talk about the next arm

Anibal Sanchez vs Det ($7,400)…My goodness that price is just too cheap. I do think he will have quite a bit of ownership, but it’s a big slate so who knows. Sanchez is going against a pesky Tigers team, but they are also known to completely forget how to hit a baseball. Sanchez as all the upside in the world in this matchup and I am not afraid to play him. The Tigers rank 26th in OPS, 28th in OPS, 29th in wOBA and last in both runs scored and K rate. Sanchez has actually been really solid the last two years too, pitching to a 3.24 ERA and 1.17 WHIP since the beginning of last season. Now let’s talk about the Tigers numbers at home vs RHP.

K%-24.8% (8th)

AVG-.230 (24th)

OBP-.284 (28th)

ISO-.128 (28th)

wOBA-.275 (28th)

As you can see the numbers look great for Sanchez and I will have a heavy dosage of him today.
