Happy Friday Eve! Good lord, I woke up today and I was so upset that it wasn’t Friday. I just can’t seem to wake up! Only a few more weeks of summer and its back to the classroom.
Anyways, I hope you guys saw my tweet about early slate yesterday! Dropped some damn gems! Yu Darvish and Chase Anderson, both helped me win some money! Hopefully you guys won some cash too. I’m going to talk about one high priced pitcher and one value pitcher that can help you make your builds easier.
Madison Bumgarner ($9,000 DK/$9,000 FD) vs New York Mets (-115 favorite)
Bumgarner has been the talks of trade rumors as of late, but it seems like the Giants are making a push for a wild card spot. So in the Giants dream lab, they actually have a shot! They are going to need to continue to win and their ace is just what they needed. Let’s break down the Mets against LHP on the road.
K% – 24.7
WOBA – .332
OBP – .344
The Mets are not awful versus lefties at all, but a few factors are in his favor today. First of all he is a – 115 favorite and the implied run total for the Mets is still dropping. As of right now it has dropped -0.26. This is a great sign! He is a home favorite, run total dropping, Giants are playing great ball, and Mad Bum needs to dig deep for his team to keep him! Lock in Mad Bum and don’t think twice about it.
Alright, alright, I’m too hungover for this shit. I only had three beers yesterday and I’m feeling it. Man, maybe I’m just getting old. Anyways, let’s talk about the second pitcher.
Tanner Roark ($7500 DK/$7,500 FD) vs St. Louis Cardinals (-122 favorite)
It is so weird that I’m writing about Roark, dude throws slower than my Grandma. Today it doesn’t matter, he is in play vs this bad Cardinals lineup. Yeah, I said it.
Cardinals on the road vs RHP
K% – 24.8
Average – .240
WOBA – .304
I just don’t see how Roark doesn’t just roll through this lineup. At his price, you really don’t need a ton and I would even recommend him for cash lineups. Roark is at home and a -122 favorite, lines having moved much yet but it’s still early. I am going to lock in Roark with Mad Bum in all formats watch the cash roll in!
