“Fourth & Goal” – Week 14 DraftKings Picks

As we move into Week 14, we are finally done with bye weeks and we are (as of right now) faced with a 13 game main slate on DraftKings. There great matchups one the board this week to target, but let’s take a look at how we did las week.

QB – Aaron Rodgers – 23.5 fantasy points

RB – Austin Ekeler – 10.8 FP

WR – Keke Coutee – 25.1 FP

TE – Robert Tonyan – 13.9 FP

Although Rodgers was the 10th highest scoring quarterback on DraftKings, his 23.5 points didn’t hinder your lineup. His pairing with Tonyan cleared enough salary up to still make a lineup which could have cashed.

Value plays were spot on with both Coutee and Tonyan priced under $4,000 paid off their salary and more while allowing you to spend up at important positions.

The only disappointment out of this group was Ekeler, but that is expected after a team lays a goose egg. It was actually impressive he was able to break the 10-point mark.

Let’s take a look at the calls for Week 14!

Justin Herbert – vs. Atlanta Falcons – $6,800

Coming off his worst performance of his career, Herbert gets one of the best teams to bounce back against in the Falcons.

Over the past four games, they have allowed huge fantasy performance to Taysom Hill (24.58/25.42) and Drew Lock (33.22) and they have nowhere near the passing attack the Chargers do. For the season, Atlanta has allowed opposing quarterback to throw for 300 yards and two touchdowns per game.

In Herbert’s 11 games this season, he has hit the 300-yard mark six times while throwing for multiple touchdowns in seven.

Along with his 41.4 pass attempts per game this season, he has also added three rushing touchdowns so we have the added upside to score a touchdown on the ground.

I think he is a great tournament play this week and priced under $7,000 he is not a terrible play in cash games.

Christian McCaffery vs. Denver Broncos – $9,200

We don’t get the discount for McCaffery as we did last time he came off injury ($8,500 vs. Kansas City in Week 9), but baring another injury, it will not be long until he is over $10,000 again.

McCaffery has been out for the past four weeks but he has scored two touchdowns in each of the three games he has played this season.

As of now, it looks like the Panthers will be without DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel, which would significantly increase his work in the passing game.

Denver’s defense is nothing to be afraid of either, as they have allowed 125 yards and 4.8 receptions over their past four games resulting in 30.5 fantasy points per game to running backs.

Corey Davis at Jacksonville Jaguars – $5,700

Coming off an 11/182/1 stat line, Davis draws another favorable matchup with the Jaguars and his price was only increased $200 from last week.

Jacksonville has been allowing receivers to put up huge fantasy games lately as they have allowed opponents the third most fantasy points over the past month.

Justin Jefferson – 30.3

Diontae Johnson – 26.1

Marcus Valdes-Scantling – 27.9

Davis will be matched up with Loq Barcoo for a majority of the game and he has allowed an average of 0.67 fantasy points per pass route ran this season, the second worst on Sunday’s main slate.

Over his past four games, Davis is averaging 7.0 targets and 108 yards per game, so the upside is still there at his price point.

Mike Gesicki vs. Kansas City Chiefs – $4,500

Like Davis, Gesicki is coming off a great outing as he went 9/88/1 against Cincinnati last week.

Over the past month, Gesicki has become more involved in the offense, seeing 6.5 targets and has produced 51.5 yards per game with two touchdowns.

Opponents have been attacking Kansas City from the tight end position recently as they have allowed 6.5 receptions and 18.1 fantasy points per game in their past four games.

In recent week’s, the Chiefs have allowed a 19.6 points performance to Rob Gronkowski and a 21.8 to Darren Waller.

As a 7.5 points underdog, the Dolphins should be throwing so there is a path for Gesicki to reach those numbers also.
