“Fourth & Goal” – Week 13 FanDuel Picks

As we roll into Week 13, the DFS Headquarters will be debuting a new article “Fourth & Goal”. If you play on both DraftKings and FanDuel you know the scoring and roster construction is much different so we will be doing separate articles for both sites.

This article is going to highlight some of my core plays while building lineups. I am a cash, single entry or three max player so most of my lineups will feature some combination of these players.

As FanDuel’s scoring is more touchdown dependent, I focus more on red zone opportunities when constructing these lineups compared to DraftKings.

As always in the year of 2020, things can change on a dime so I would highly recommend joining our Discord chat to keep up to date on the news and our coaches’ thoughts.

Normally we will into with a recap of the previous week, but since we have nothing to recap, let’s check out the picks for this week!

Deshaun Watson vs. Indianapolis Colts – $8,300

Coming in as the fourth highest priced quarterback on FanDuel, Watson has proven this year he can put up huge touchdown performances despite the matchups and lack of talent around him.

With Randall Cobb on injured reserve and Will Fuller out for the season due to suspension, the Texans will have to rely heavily on their star quarterback as they host the Colts.

Houston will not have the luxury of relying more on the run game, because it has been non-existent this year. If they have any chance in the game on Sunday, Watson will be the main reason why.

He is coming off a four-touchdown performance on Thanksgiving Day, the second time he has accomplished that this year.

The matchup with the Colts looks bad on the surface, but over the past five games, they have allowed Ryan Tannehill 19 fantasy points, Aaron Rodgers 23 and Matt Stafford 24.

Watson also has two rushing touchdown on the year, so the upside is there to have another four touchdown performance if the Texans can get in the red zone.

James Robinson at Minnesota Vikings – $7,800

Out of nowhere, the Jaguars rookie has been sensational this season and has turned into one of the league’s most consistent running backs.  He is coming off one of his best games of the season as he went 22/128/1 against Cleveland.

In his last four games, he has averaged 21.8 rushing attempts and 2.3 receptions. For the season, he has also racked up eight touchdowns on the ground.

Robinson has also been a focal point the past four games when Jasonville reaches the red zone, being in on 96% of the snaps with 14 rushing attempts.

At his price, I think he is one of my favorite pay up options to find the end zone on Sunday.

Allen Robinson vs. Detroit Lions – $6,900

With Mitch Trubisky back under center for Chicago last week, Robinson put up an 8/74/2 stat line against the Packers en route to 23 fantasy points.

Through four games that Trubisky has played this season, Robinson has seen 9, 9, 13 and 13 targets, proving to be his go to guy.

Last week, Will Fuller put up 6/171/2 against Detroit, so the upside is there to take advantage of a poor secondary. In the Lions past two games, they have allowed and average of 25.2 fantasy points to the opponents number one receiver.

Robinson has been in on 94% of the red zone snaps with six targets over his past four games, and I think he has the opportunity to turn a few targets this week into a touchdown.

Evan Engram at Seattle Seahawks – $6,000

In the wasteland of tight ends this week, I will have a small pool in hopes of luck boxing a touchdown. Who better to pick on other than Seattle?

Over their past four games, the Seahawks have allowed an average of 62.3 yards and a touchdown including a 17-point performance their last time out against Dallas Goedert and the Eagles.

Engram’s targets have increased lately as he has seen nine or more in three of his last four games. He has only scored once during that time, but he has seen five red zone targets is on the field for 95% of snaps.

With Colt McCoy more than likely starting for New York, Engram should be a focal point on Sunday if the Giants can reach the red zone.
